Biography – John A.W. Wilkinson
Born in India 1930 to a military family, John came to England
in 1946 , where he worked with Mr. J.G. Bennett,
who became his Teacher.
Graduated to running groups and teaching ‘Movements’
G.I Gurdjieff’s
sacred dances.
Helped start and develop a community in West Virginia,
which Mr. Bennet had started before his death.
Ran courses with Tony Blake around the world then at
Daglingworth Manor. Studied Judo 2 dan and Aikido 4 dan
(helped found The British Aikido Association.
He was founded by another Teacher and made 2 pilgrimages
to India under his Teachers direction.
John is initiated to the Mevlevi Dervish Order by
Grand Sheikh Suleiman Dede ,
and was intiated into the T ‘Turn’ in Konoa.
He ran groups and seminars around the world,
after splitting with Blake.
Retired to Sweden and presently live there,
John has a very deep and wide experience
regarding meditations and mental exercises .
Right now he studies and teaches Taoist Yoga methods.
